 Physician Financial Review.

Some physicians have questions about aspects of their financial lives, but are not sure that a holistic financial plan is necessary.

For these physicians, a Physician Financial Review  may provide peace of mind about the financial issues the physician has identified.

The Physician Financial Review is a two-hour meeting in which three topics selected by the physician are addressed.

Sample topics may include:

  • Review of prior tax returns for missed deductions;
  • Tax planning for the current year;
  • Recommendation of possible tax strategies to consider;
  • Review of current asset allocation and investment location for tax efficiency;
  • Evaluation of performance of current investments;
  • Review of Financial Life Cycle position;
  • Retirement/financial independence analysis;
  • Recomendation of holistic financial strategy;
  • Analysis of current costs being incurred for financial advice; and
  • Other related topics.

Required Advance Physician Preparation:  We will send you a complimentary copy of Bert Whitehead's book Facing Financial Dysfunction: Why Smart People Do Stupid Things with Money when you make your appointment.  Please identify your Money Personality (Chapter 3) and your stage in the Financial Life Cycle (Chapter 7) when you come to the appointment.  This enables you to get full benefit from the Physician Financial Review appointment.

For tax and investment review, send in your last three years’ tax returns, income year-to-date (including most recent paystub(s)), a list of all assets and liabilities (including most recent brokerage, bank, pension, and social security statements).

The cost of the Physician Financial Review is $947.   Please contact us for further details.
